Connections: Lea M. Hill
Author, Intuitive Medium, Award Winning Producer of “All About Autism” TV Show
“You must meet Lea Hill,” my friend Roberta Chadis says to me as we are wrapping her first TV show in November.
I say, “Yes, absolutely.”
Roberta is one of those people to whom you immediately say “yes” and then find out the details. I am never disappointed and I certainly was not when I met with Lea Hill.
Lea is warm, authentic, intelligent, and compassionate. She is an author, intuitive medium, award-winning producer, and faculty member at North Shore Community College.
Her background and expertise in business and marketing give her a directness, straightforward manner, and laser-guided tendency. Yet, her connection with the spirit world lends her a softness, kindness, and ethereal quality.
This combination is powerful as Lea can cut through the chaff to get to the heart of the matter and then connect to that heart to communicate with children who have the inability for typical communication, such as children with autism.
In a word, amazing.
Lea has dedicated herself to teaching parents, educators and therapists to communicate with autistic children, writing books to educate the public about the spiritual and intellectual aspects of nonverbal communication, producing television shows to connect families of autistic children with available resources “All About Autism with Lea M. Hill”, and managing a program at North Shore Community College called Project Awareness: Bridge to the Future that teaches children with learning issues, aged 18 -26 years old, social, computer and life skills to transition to independence. She also gives individual readings for people who want information from the other side to relay messages that help people feel better, live better, and embrace their own truth.
Heart Connection Process:
Lea has developed a 5-step process to help parents connect to their children who have the inability to communicate. You can check out a sampling of these steps at: http://www.leamhill.com/theautismspirit.htm
All About Autism:
Lea has produced several shows of “All About Autism with Lea Hill” and among these are Autism and Animals and Autism and Chiropractic. Each of these shows delves into the benefits and introduces resources available to families.
You can watch the show about Autism and Animals at:
For Kids:
Lea has a website dedicated just for children. There is an online gallery for creative expression, Sylph Society where children ages 5 to 18 can showcase fantasy artwork and stories. The site includes a discussion forum for kids who are siblings of those with autism called What About Me?
About Her First Book
The Society of Sylphs is about a young sylph named Luranna who is having a hard time fitting in because she doesn’t want to deliver messages – which is what sylphs do!
Fortunately, Luranna meets Eddie, a non-speaking autistic boy, who understands her. Luranna and Eddie develop a friendship that leads to personal growth for each of them. Eddie helps Luranna overcome her fears so she can deliver messages as well as any sylph…and Luranna helps Eddie cope with family tragedy. Together, they learn ways to balance the drive for self-expression with the desire to be a part of the societies they belong to.
The Society of Sylphs is available in paperback and as a Kindle book on Amazon.
